Enjoy!Giancarlo DiTrapano is the latest addition to the driver roster of Reiter Engineering for the Indy 500 and in particular, the Freedom 100 race. The German team has had notable success in the European Le Mans Series and the two previous GTEs races at Le Mans.
However, Reiter will now have the Dallara’s newly refreshed by GRX racing while the team has acquired the engineering services of the Argentinian team. The team looks to return with Giancarlo, Andrej Sayan, Luca Mancini and Alex Braun to see if they can perform in the high-profile races.
“We have a very good team,” said Giancarlo. “I have been working with the team for some time and I know their strengths and weaknesses. We have to try and capitalize on our experience and strengths and forget about our weaknesses. The team is capable of winning.”
“The goal of Reiter Engineering is not only to win the 100,” said team principal Klaus Fröhlich. “We want to win the entire championship. We have the resources for that and we want to build on this success in order to be able to participate in more races and win more championships.”
Giancarlo has a wealth of racing experience having won the Blancpain Endurance Series and overall in the Asian Le Mans Series. The 37 year old also competed for BMW in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
As for the upcoming endurance racing season, the team will participate in both the Nürburgring 24 and the Silverstone 12 hour race.Heathburn railway station
